Dr. Matthew J. Gastinger is currently the Technical Support Specialist with Bitplane/Andor Technology, providing direct customer support for the Imaris 3D/4D image analysis software. He assists researchers to develop new ways to take their data to the next level by using Imaris to generate advanced images and statistical reports that further advance their projects.
Dr. Gastinger received his PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Texas Health Science Center. His interests include visual neuroscience, retinal neuroanatomy, neuronal reconstruction, immunocytochemistry, synaptic receptors, neurodegenerative diseases and diabetic retinopathy. He is proficient in multiple image acquisition techniques including laser-scanning confocal, spinning disc systems, epifluorescence and transmitted light microscopy, super resolution imaging, and electron microscopy.
