Jim Hostetter is currently the South East Regional Field Application Scientist with PerkinElmer LST, providing application consultation and training for the UltraVIEW VoX 3D Live Cell Confocal Microscope System and Volocity software for visualization, measurement and publication of time resolved 3D data.
Mr. Hostetter has been involved in microscopy and imaging for over a quarter of a century; having held sales, sales management and product specialist positions with Carl Zeiss, Scanalytics and Improvision prior to PerkinElmer. He is experienced and knowledgeable in a variety of advanced microscopy techniques including confocal, ratio imaging, FRET, FRAP, TIRF and deconvolution. Mr. Hostetter is often quoted as saying “when I started, cameras had film” and is proud to have played an active part in the digital revolution of microscopy.
